FORMER PATIENT, JAMIE DUKES, FEATURED IN NFL PREGAME SHOW

January 13, 2009 –  Jamie Dukes, a former American football offensive lineman who played for the Atlanta Falcons, the Green Bay Packers, and the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, and bariatric patient of Emory Johns Creek Hospital will be featured on Sunday’s Pre-Game Show on the NFL network.  Christopher Hart, MD, performed bariatric surgery on Dukes in the summer of 2008 at Emory Johns Creek. 

Dr. Hart was filmed in the operating room at Emory Johns Creek for a feature set to air during the Pre-Game Show on the network.  The Atlanta Bariatric Center at Emory Johns Creek has performed more than 2,000 bariatric surgeries and has been deemed a Centers of Excellence by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.  The hospital is one of only four Centers of Excellence recognized by United Healthcare.
